പരുന്തിന്റെ തിരിച്ചറിവ് — The Eagle's Realization

Eagle

ഒരിക്കൽ ഒരു കാട്ടിൽ ഒരു വേട്ടക്കാരൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു ദിവസം രാവിലെ അയാൾ പതിവുപോലെ വേട്ടയ്ക്ക് പോയി. അയാൾ വില്ല് കുലച്ചു, അമ്പ് വായുവിലൂടെ അതിവേഗം പായുകയും ആകാശത്ത് പറന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഒരു പരുന്തിന്റെ നെഞ്ചിൽ തറയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

നെഞ്ചിലെ അമ്പിന്റെ വേദന സഹിക്കാൻ കഴിയാതെ പരുന്ത് നിലത്ത് വീണു. നിലത്ത് വീണ പരുന്ത് തന്റെ നെഞ്ചിൽ തറച്ച അമ്പിനെ സൂക്ഷിച്ച് നോക്കി. അപ്പോൾ അത് ഒരു വേദനാജനകമായ സത്യം കണ്ടു.

അമ്പിന്റെ തൂവലുകൾ തന്റെ സ്വന്തം ചിറകുകളിൽ നിന്നുള്ളതായിരുന്നു! പരുന്ത് വേദനയോടെ പറഞ്ഞു: "വേട്ടക്കാരൻ എന്റെ സ്വന്തം ചിറകിലെ തൂവലുകൾ ഈ അമ്പിൽ ഘടിപ്പിച്ചാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം കൃത്യമാക്കിയത്!"

പാവം പരുന്ത് ഒരിക്കലും ചിന്തിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല, തന്റെ ശരീരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് കൊഴിഞ്ഞ തൂവലുകൾ തനിക്കെതിരായ ആയുധമാകുമെന്ന്. ഈ തിരിച്ചറിവ് അതിന് മനസ്സിലാക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു — തന്നിൽ നിന്ന് നഷ്ടമായത് തന്നെ തന്റെ നാശത്തിന് വഴിയൊരുക്കി.

3	അയാൾ വില്ല് കുലച്ചു.	He drew his bow.
4	അമ്പ് വായുവിലൂടെ അതിവേഗം പായുകയും ആകാശത്ത് പറന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഒരു പരുന്തിന്റെ നെഞ്ചിൽ തറയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.	The arrow flew swiftly through the air and pierced the chest of an eagle that was flying in the sky.
5	നെഞ്ചിലെ അമ്പിന്റെ വേദന സഹിക്കാൻ കഴിയാതെ പരുന്ത് നിലത്ത് വീണു.	Unable to bear the pain of the arrow in its chest, the eagle fell to the ground.
6	നിലത്ത് വീണ പരുന്ത് തന്റെ നെഞ്ചിൽ തറച്ച അമ്പിനെ സൂക്ഷിച്ച് നോക്കി.	The eagle that had fallen to the ground looked closely at the arrow stuck in its chest.
7	അപ്പോൾ അത് ഒരു വേദനാജനകമായ സത്യം കണ്ടു.	Then it saw a painful truth.
8	അമ്പിന്റെ തൂവലുകൾ തന്റെ സ്വന്തം ചിറകുകളിൽ നിന്നുള്ളതായിരുന്നു!	The feathers on the arrow were from its own wings!
9	പരുന്ത് വേദനയോടെ പറഞ്ഞു.	The eagle said in pain.
10	"വേട്ടക്കാരൻ എന്റെ സ്വന്തം ചിറകിലെ തൂവലുകൾ ഈ അമ്പിൽ ഘടിപ്പിച്ചാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം കൃത്യമാക്കിയത്!"	"The hunter attached the feathers from my own wings to this arrow to make it hit its target!"
11	പാവം പരുന്ത് ഒരിക്കലും ചിന്തിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല.	The poor eagle had never imagined.
12	തന്റെ ശരീരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് കൊഴിഞ്ഞ തൂവലുകൾ തനിക്കെതിരായ ആയുധമാകുമെന്ന്.	That the feathers shed from its body would become a weapon against it.
