फलवाला और पंसारी — The Fruit Seller and the Grocer
एक बार एक पंसारी ने एक फलवाले से उसका तराजू और बाट उधार लिए। कुछ दिनो बाद फलवाले ने पंसारी से अपने तराजू और बाट वापस माँगे। पंसारी ने कहा, "कैसा तराजू और बाँट? उन्हें तो चूहा खा गया। इसलिए मुझे खेद है कि मैं उन्हें लौटा नहीं सकता।"
बेईमान पंसारी की बात सुनकर फलवाले को बहुत गुस्सा आया, पर उसने गुस्से को दबाते हुए कहा, "कोई बात नहीं मित्र! इसमें तुम्हारा कोई दोष नहीं है। मेरी तकदीर खराब है।"
उसके बाद एक दिन फलवाले ने पंसारी से कहा, "देखो! मैं कुछ सामान लेने बाहर जा रहा हूँ। तुम चाहो तो मेरे साथ अपने बेटे को भेज सकते हो। हम लोग कल तक वापस आ जाएँगे।"
पंसारी ने बेटे को फलवाले के साथ भेज दिया। दूसरे दिन फलवाला लौटा तो वह अकेला था।
"अरे! मेरा बेटा कहाँ है?" पंसारी ने पूछा।
"क्या बताऊँ, तुम्हारे बेटे को सारस उठा ले गया," फलवाले ने जवाब दिया।
"अबे झूठे! इतने बड़े लड़के को सारस कैसे उठा ले जा सकता है?" पंसारी ने गुस्से से कहा।
फलवाले ने जवाब दिया, "उसी तरह जैसे चूहे तराजू और बाँट खा सकते हैं।"
पंसारी को अपनी भूल समझ में आई। उसने फलवाले का तराजू और बाट वापस कर दिया। वह आँसू भरी आँखों से बोला, "भाई! मैंने तुम्हारे साथ छल किया। मुझे माफ कर दो और मेरा बेटा मुझे लौटा दो।"
फलवाले ने पंसारी के बेटे को उसके पिता के पास लौटा दिया।
शिक्षा — जो दूसरों के साथ छल करता है, उसे स्वयं भी छल का सामना करना पड़ता है। बेईमानी का फल हमेशा बुरा होता है।
