मधुमक्खी और कबूतर — The Bee and the Pigeon

एक मधुमक्खी थी। एक बार वह उड़ती हुई तालाब के ऊपर से जा रही थी।

अचानक वह तालाब के पानी में गिर गई। उसके पंख गीले हो गए। अब वह उड़ नहीं सकती थी। उसकी मृत्यु निश्चित थी।

तालाब के पास पेड़ पर एक कबूतर बैठा हुआ था। उसने मधुमक्खी को पानी में डूबते हुए देखा। कबूतर ने पेड़ से एक पत्ता तोड़ा। उसे अपनी चोंच में उठाकर तालाब में मधुमक्खी के पास गिरा दिया। धीरे-धीरे मधुमक्खी उस पत्ते पर चढ़ गई। थोड़ी देर में उसके पंख सूख गये। उसने कबूतर को धन्यवाद दिया। फिर वह उड़ कर दूर चली गई।

कुछ दिन के बाद कबूतर पर एक संकट आया। वह पेड़ की डाली पर आँख मूंद कर सो रहा था। तभी एक लड़के ने गुलेल से उस पर निशाना साधा। कबूतर इस खतरे से अनजान था। मगर मधुमक्खी ने लड़के को निशाना साधते हुए देख लिया था। मधुमक्खी उड़कर लड़के के पास पहुँची। उसने लड़के के हाथ में डस लिया। लड़के के हाथ से गुलेल गिर पड़ी। दर्द के मारे वह जोर-जोर से चीखने लगा। लड़के की चीख सुनकर कबूतर जाग उठा। उसने अपनी जान बचाने के लिए मधुमक्खी को धन्यवाद दिया और मजे से उड़ गया।

शिक्षा — अच्छे लोग हमेशा दूसरों की मदद करते हैं। (Good people always help others.)
