बलवान कौन — Who Is Stronger
एक बार हवा और सूर्य में बहस छिड़ गई।
हवा ने सूर्य से कहा, मैं तुमसे ज्यादा बलवान हूँ।
नही, तुम मुझसे ज्यादा बलवान नही हो। सूर्य ने प्रतिवाद किया।
तभी उनकी नजर विश्व-भ्रमण पर निकले एक यात्री पर पड़ी। यात्री ने शाल ओढ़ रखी थी। हवा और सूर्य ने तय किया कि उनमें से जो भी उस यात्री की शाल उतरवाने में सफल होगा, वही बलवान कहलाएगा।
पहली बारी हवा की आई। वह यात्री के कंधे से शाल उड़ाने के लिए पूरी ताकत से बहने लगी। पर हवा जितनी ज्यादा तेजी से बहती, यात्री उतना ही कसकर शाल को शरीर से लपेटने लगता। यह संघर्ष तब तक चलता रहा जब तक कि हवा की बारी खत्म नहीं हो गई।
अब सूर्य की बारी आई। वह जरा-सा मुस्कराया। इससे यात्री को गरमी महसूस होने लगी। उसने जल्दी ही शाल की पकड़ ढीली कर दी। सूर्य की मुस्कराहट बढ़ती गई। इसके साथ गरमी भी बढती गई। फिर गरमी ने विकराल रूप धारण कर लिया। यात्री को अब शाल ओढ़ने की जरूरत नहीं रही। उसने शाल उतारकर हाथ में ले ली। इस प्रकार सूर्य हवा से ज्यादा शक्तिशाली सिद्ध हुआ।
शिक्षा — केवल धौंस जमाने से कोई ताकतवर नही माना जाता है।
